MPL PH: Blacklist ends regular season on high note, overcomes RSG

Blacklist International ended the regular season with a momentum-building 2-1 reverse sweep of RSG Philippines, claiming the fifth spot in the standings in the final week of MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios.

The Codebreakers have won three straight and five of the last six matches, including victories over three of the four teams in the upper half of the standings.

RSG dominated Game 1 with a lopsided 23-6 kill score, courtesy of Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s (Barats) 4-1-10 KDA.

Blacklist then controlled major stretches of Game 2 but needed 19 minutes to finally score the equalizer, thanks to Salik “Hadji” Imam’s (Minotaur) two-man Minoan Fury setup, sparking a game-winning 5-1 wipeout.

In Game 3, Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (Natan) displayed impeccable mechanical skill as he fended off RSG’s four-man ambush late in the 17th minute, single-handedly securing three kills.

That was enough for Blacklist to force a base turret siege in the ensuing sequence and complete the reverse sweep.
