ECHO secured an outright spot in the upper bracket semifinals after sweeping Nexplay EVOS, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season, Sunday at the ICITE Auditorium.
After dropping to a 1-2-3 KDA line in the first eight minutes of Game One, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales (Bruno) bounced back and took over the match by scoring seven consecutive kills that allowed ECHO to take a 12-4 win.
Bennyqt ended the game with a triple kill, capping off ECHO’s five-man wipe midway into the 14th minute. He finished with eight kills, two deaths, and four assists.
ECHO then bagged Game Two for the sweep.
ECHO will end the elimination round against Blacklist International tomorrow, Monday at 7:30 PM while Nexplay EVOS will face RSG PH earlier in the day at 5:00 PM.
