After being seen in the NLEX Road Warriors’ practice facility in Xavierville earlier this month, Michael Miranda can finally say that he is back with his old team.
The 6-foot-6 big man has been traded by the NorthPort Batang Pier to NLEX in exchange for Juami Tiongson.
According to NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao, they did not want to part ways with TIongson but NorthPort was dead set on getting him.
“We did not want to give up Juami, but NorthPort insisted that he be the one included in the deal. We offered our second round picks but they insisted on Juami,” Guiao said in a statement released on NLEX’s official Facebook account.
Tiongson, a 5-foot-10 floor general out of Ateneo, averaged 7.82 points, 3.27 assists, and 2.18 rebounds in 11 games played last conference.
Miranda, on the other hand, has long been in the radar for Guiao.
After he was signed by TNT last season, Guiao tried to trade for him multiple times, including the four-team trade that sent Jericho Cruz to NLEX.
However, it only came into fruition just today.
