The Angels — the undisputed queens of blocks of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference — brought out their signature swag party against the Lady Realtors. And they were led by none other than rising middle blocker Meneses.
The UST product finished with a total of four rejections — a block higher than Sta. Lucia’s total output of three. And she finished with 15 points in the 25-13, 25-21, 25-22 win over the Lady Realtors.
And through that, Petro Gazz has fin ally secured its coveted playoffs berth.
“Wala akong masabi kasi talagang ginagawa ko lang yung best ko every game yun lang,” said Meneses, who holds the conference record for blocks with 10.
“Kahit naman sino gusto pa mag-improve ng sobra kasi katulad ngayon na sunod sunod yung game kailangan bawat game magimprove pa kasi wala na talaga laglagan na talaga.”
Despite clinching their place in the playoffs, the Philippine national team pool member vowed to never let up as the Angels gun for their second PVL championship — the first in the league’s professional history.
