Matthew Wright has been granted his release by Kyoto, while AJ Edu entered free agency last weekend.
The Hannaryz announced that Wright, 33, was granted his request to test the market but is still actively negotiating for a renewal.
The 6-foot-4 winger averaged 13.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 53 games played last season but could only lead Kyoto to a 17-43 record.
After six years with Phoenix, Wright signed with Kyoto back in 2022.
Meanwhile, due to their relegation to B2, the Grouses released a bulk of their players, including Edu.
Also entering the market were Ryumo Ono, Takashi Ito, Johnathan Williams, Myles Hesson, Quincy Miller, and Hiroki Higashi.
Edu only played 14 games for Toyama this season, averaging 13.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest before suffering an injury.
Toyama finished with a league-worst 4-56 record, leading to their relegation to B2.
RJ Abarrientos, who averaged 7.8 points and 2.4 assists for Shinshu, remains with the team despite the relegation of the Brave Warriors.
