Margie Didal honored as one of 2018’s most influential teens

A renegade both on and off the park.

“Renegade” is the best word to describe 19-year-old skateboarding enigma Margie Didal.

“Sana mag-iba ang tingin ng tao sa skateboarders,” she had declared hopefully.

“Babaguhin natin yung laro. Sana huwag na tayong hulihin sa daan!”

And after winning the first-ever skateboarding gold in the Asian Games, her voice was finally heard.

With this, Time Magazine named Didal as one of the most influential teenagers of 2018.

The Cebuana was part of the golden girls of Team Pilipinas in the Asiad.

Time’s annual list includes numerous teens from various fields, taking into account their impact on social media and to drive news.
