Makati-Super Crunch enters hostile territory once again come Game Two of its 2020 Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan North Finals series against San Juan-Go for Gold.
The Super Crunch-backed squad had to forfeit its home court privilege after the local government of the city failed to green light the Makati Coliseum.
With the development, Makati will be forced to play Game Two on enemy soil — the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Makati lost in Game One last Monday, receiving a 16-point, 60-76 beating against the Knights in the same San Juan venue.
The third-ranked Makati encountered a similar situation in the quarterfinals.
Facing the sixth-seeded Bulacan, Makati should have played Game Two on its turf. However, the league’s technical committee deemed the Guadalupe Viejo Gym unsafe, awarding the advantage to Bulacan.
Still, Makati defied the odds and booted out the Kuyas with an 86-78 victory. And they look to replicate the feat on Wednesday when they face San Juan at 9:00 pm.
