Adamson setter Louie Romero will take her time before deciding on the next step in her young volleyball career.
The 22-year-old product of Kings Montessori School, who is still eligible to play for two more seasons, revealed that she has yet to decide whether to play another year for the Lady Falcons or pursue a professional career.
“Rest muna sa ngayon.
“Wala pang desisyon kung maglalaro pa ba next season or magpupursige na,” said Romero following Adamson’s elimination in the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament at the hands of defending champion National University.
Up against a powerhouse Lady Bulldogs side, Romero’s Lady Falcons soared high in the opener and took a 25-22 victory before eventually surrendering the next three sets en route to a 25-22, 22-25, 12-25, 15-25 loss at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The former Palarong Pambansa Best Setter pointed out Adamson’s sloppy execution as one of the main factors in the loss.
“Ako wala naman [regrets] kasi nangyari na e, wala naman na akong magagawa.
“Sinabi ko naman sa team ko yung mga dapat gawin, pinagaralan namin lahat ng game namin kanina so yung execution lang talaga namin kanina medyo nagkulang,” said Romero.
Still, despite the abrupt end to their once-promising campaign, Romero said that she remains proud of what the Lady Falcons achieved throughout Season 85.
“Sobrang happy kasi nung una target lang talaga namin is Final Four then ayon, naka podium finish pa kaya sobrang saya kasi especially sa amin mga graduating, tatlo kaming graduating,” said Romero as the school made its first Final Four appearance since 2013.
