Letran to make ‘all out’ pitch to CJ Cansino

In a report by Norman Riego of ABS-CBN Sports, UAAP Season 80 Juniors Basketball Most Valuable Player CJ Cansino wants to stay in University of Santo Tomas for college but has received offers from three other schools. One of those candidates has sent strong signals to the 6-foot-1 guard.

The Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights are going all-out in their drive to recruit the third-ranked senior in the country today.

The directive to make this push was ordered by none other than San Miguel Corporation sports director Alfrancis Chua.

Last February 1, San Miguel pledged to support Letran sports. For them, Cansino can be the one to usher in this new era that will open the walls of Letran to more blue chip recruits.

Chua currently holds the title of Special Assistant to the Rector for Sports Development in Letran.

Incoming third year Knights head coach Jeff Napa will have a number of transferees for his NCAA Season 94 campaign including former UE Red Warriors Bonbon Batiller annd Fran Yu, former DLSU Green Archer Larry Muyang, former CSB Blazer Christian Fajarito, and former St. Clair Saint Coy Galvelo.
