DLSU Lady Spikers outlast defending champs Lady Falcons

After dropping their first game, Cyd Demecillo and Kim Fajardo opened their second day of competetion by up-ending the Lady Falcons, 21-19, 21-17.

Both teams traded leads to start off the match, with DLSU building a slim early lead and Adamson finding their footing midway through the set. However, untimely errors from Len-Len Cortel and Amanda Villanueva late in the set would seal their fate, giving DLSU the first set.

La Salle would eventually wittle down the Falcons late in  the second set by properly targeting Cortel with serves and wearing her down by repeatedly forcing her to spike. La Salle would capture the second set off fantastic play from Kim Fajardo.

Ara Galang, DLSU’s reserve player, watched the action from the bench with a protective sleeve on her left hand.
