La Salle spoils McDaniel sis PFFWL debut


Shai Del Campo scored twice as De La Salle University spoiled the debut of the McDaniel sisters with Stallion Laguna, winning 4-0 in the 2023 PFF Women’s League on Saturday night at the PFF National Training Center in Cavite.

Del Campo had an eventful performance, outshining goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel and forward Chandler McDaniel, both of whom started the match for Stallion.

The UAAP Season 81 Best Striker scored goals in the 25th and 89th minutes of the match, and also provided an assist for Maria Lourdes Layacan’s opener in the 18th minute. Del Campo’s only negative moment was missing a penalty in the 87th minute.

In the 33rd minute, Angelica Teves unleashed a shot from outside the Stallion box, scoring La Salle’s third goal of the match.

Meanwhile, in the earlier match, UAAP Season 85 champions Far Eastern University prevailed 5-0 against Azzurri SC.

Dionesa Tolentin and Katrina Magbitang gave the Lady Tamaraws a two-goal lead before the halftime break, while Judie Rose Arevalo, Jonela Albino, and Sarahgen Tulabing completed the rout in the second half.
