De La Salle University could not overcome the last PBA team that frustrated it on opening day.
The Green Archers were overwhelmed by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the final of the 2024 Kadayawan Invitational Tournament, falling 138-116 on Sunday evening at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gym in Davao City.
Unlike their 106-105 loss on opening day, the Green Archers were overpowered by the more experienced Elasto Painters throughout the game.

Former Green Archer Andrei Caracut contributed 21 points, built on four treys, while the Ateneo duo of Anton Asistio and Gian Mamuyac added 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Despite the loss, it was a commendable campaign for the defending UAAP champions as they defeated PBA teams Converge (120-112) and Phoenix (104-102).
