Kyt Jimenez has become the lowest pick in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft to secure a contract.
The 5-foot-11 YouTube sensation inked a two-year deal with San Miguel on Tuesday. Present at the signing were his agent, Danny Espiritu, and team manager, Gee Abanilla.
Jimenez was the only player selected below the seventh round who managed to secure a contract.
A Perpetual product, he spent the last two years playing professionally in the MPBL, with stints at Sarangani and Gen San. With the Marlins, he averaged 17.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.8 steals per contest.
Meanwhile, he averaged 7.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game with the Warriors.
Troy Mallillin, who was the 35th overall pick, also signed a two-year deal with San Miguel.
It remains unknown whether Ichie Altamirano, the 57th overall pick, has already signed on the dotted line.
San Miguel did not extend offers to Jayson Apolonio, Jayvee Dela Cruz, Jamel Ramos, and JBoy Gob.
