Kyoka steers Kurashiki to the top of PVL, hailed Finals MVP


Kyoka Oshima took home the Final Most Valuable Player award after steering Kurashiki to the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference championship, Sunday.

Oshima tossed 19 excellent sets to go along with five points to spearhead the Kurashiki’s 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13 win over the Cool Smashers in the winner-take-all finale at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Ablaze became the first foreign team to win the Invitationals.

Oshima played a pivotal role in the team’s campaign, leading the Japanese squad to a perfect 6-0 run in the Invitationals semis where they took down Creamline twice.
