BACARRA, ILOCOS NORTE — Black Mamba-Army head coach Kung Fu Reyes lauded the ‘Titas of Volleyball’ for their respectable sixth-place finish in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference campaign.
Fielding in a battle-tested core led by Jovelyn Gonzaga, Ging Balse-Pabayo, and Royse Tubino, the Lady Troopers still managed to score four victories en route to a 4-6 standing in the PVL Ilocos Norte bubble here.
Black Mamba-Army bested the likes of PLDT, BaliPure, Perlas, and BaliPure, respectively, in terms of rankings.
For that, the amiable head coach is just grateful.
“We finished on a high note so we have a graceful exit kahit papaano.
And for that, Reyes could not be more proud of her wards — who showed that age is indeed just a number.
Moreover, he’s just glad to see the team finish the season healthy and free from injuries.
