Change of scenery
This off-season has been stacked for the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights.
With a loaded squad filled with transferees and rookies, incoming third-year Knights head coach Jeff Napa enlisted his team to join numerous tournaments, including the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup, the 2018 SMART City Hoops Summer Classic, and the 2018 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, presented by Chooks-to-Go.
But all of those tournaments are in Manila.
The Knights are currently in Iloilo as they are joining the 2nd Iloilo National Invitational Basketball Tournament. Moreover, this will also serve as the squad’s team-building exercise.
“Magandang experience ito for the boys para mag-bond kami lalo as a team,” shared Napa.
“Maganda ito para mas makilala ng mga beterano namin yung mga rookies namin.”
Facing the Knights in the tournament are the Mapua Cardinals, the CEU Scorpions, and commercial team SkyCable.
The tournament takes place from May 17 to 21, with the championship game being held at the Pototan Astrodome on Sunday.
