Kiefer Ravena will be playing in the 2021-22 B.League Season. But he won’t be playing alongside his brother Thirdy in San-En.
B.League club Shiga announced that it has signed the 6-foot guard to a one-year Asian Quota player contract.
“We are very pleased to announce that we have signed a new player for the 2021-22 Season with Kiefer Ravena. Ravena will be registered as the Asian Player Quotas,” the team announced.
It remains unknown what the status of Kiefer’s contract is with PBA team NLEX. He just signed a three-year max deal with the team last September of 2020.
Kiefer — the second overall pick by the Road Warriors in the 2017 PBA Draft — played 47 games with the team.
Back in the PBA bubble season, he averaged 19.36 points, 5.45 rebounds, 4.64 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest.
Kiefer is expected to be a major contributor to the Lakestars. It finished with a 23-36 record last season in Japan’s premier league.
It will be a complete revamp for Shiga coming off that campaign after sacking head coach Shawn Dennis and signing former Spain assistant coach Luis Guil Torres.
Both Kiefer and Torres will be introduced by the team on Monday in a press conference.
