Kevin Quiambao takes well-deserved UAAP 86 Finals MVP


Kevin Quiambao was hailed the UAAP Season 86 Men’s Basketball Finals MVP after De La Salle University nipped University of the Philippines in Game 3, 73-69, on Wednesday night in front of a record 25,192 fans at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Quiambao, this season’s MVP, put up 14.66 points, 9.33 rebounds, 2.33 assists, and 2.0 blocks in the series that reached the distance.

It was in the decider where the 6-foot-6 do-it-all forward made his best game in the finale, pumping out 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 34 minutes and 35 seconds.

The last time one person won both the Season and Finals MVP in a single season was in Season 68 (2005) where Arwind Santos of Far Eastern University did it.
