Kevin Quiambao replaces Calvin Oftana for Gilas-Jordan game

Gilas Pilipinas will add one more big man in lieu of a winger when they take on Jordan in their final game in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Kevin Quiambao will take the place of Calvin Oftana and will be the only lineup adjustment of Gilas head coach Chot Reyes for the game on Monday at the Philippine Arena.

Quiambao, who stands at 6-foot-8, sat out the Philippines’ game against Lebanon last Friday, along with Jerom Lastimosa and Schonny Winston.

The 21-year-old passing big man of De La Salle University is averaging 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in the Qualifiers so far.

Oftana, meanwhile, went scoreless in three minutes of action against Lebanon.
