Kent Pastrana found her home at the University of Santo Tomas, and she will leave as one of the finest players to ever wear the Growling Tigresses uniform in her generation.
The 25-year-old forward led UST to the UAAP Season 88 Women’s Basketball championship, securing the team’s second title in three seasons.
Pastrana posted averages of 13.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 3.8 steals in the three-game series, earning Finals Most Valuable Player honors — a storybook ending to her UAAP career.
Saving the best for last, the four-time UAAP Elite Team member exploded for a team-high 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists, five steals, and one block in Game 3, propelling the Growling Tigresses to a 79-64 victory before an enthusiastic Sunday crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
