Kenneth Ighalo has made the ultimate sacrifice for NLEX.
Moments after NLEX absorbed a heartbreaking 100-103 loss to Magnolia, the 31-year-old swingman went straight back to his hotel as his wife was about to give birth.
Because he is inside the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga, the Fil-Nigerian was only able to see his baby over on the phone.
And the product of Mapua wanted to immediately pack his bags and get back home to his family.
“Super happy na daddy na ako. Noong tinawagan ako, gusto ko na umuwi lalo na nung nakita ko si baby,” shared Ighalo.
However, he has a job to do.
“Super saya at malungkot na wala ako dun sa tabi nila, pero I have a duty to do. I have to provide for the family,” continued the six-year pro, who was drafted as the 28th overall pick in the 2014 PBA Draft.
In NLEX, Yeng Guiao has provided Ighalo quality minutes, as he is one of the top stoppers of the Road Warriors.
After all, it’s all for one and one for all.
