Kenji, San Beda’s Tagala link up in final day of Omega Crossover


Omega’s Kenneth “Kenji” Villa joined hands with San Beda’s Josh Tagala to lift Team Joneeeel to a tight 2-1 victory over Team ONE BIG FIGHT on the final day of the Smart Omega Crossover, Wednesday evening.

The Sibol offlaner showcased his marksman skills in Game Three, putting up eight kills, two deaths, and seven assists using Claude to lead Team Joneeeel.

Team Joneeeel secured a crucial four-man wipe at the 17:50-mark of the match, taking down Team ONE BIG FIGHT’s Hadjizy (Pharsa), Hakdawg (Yu Zhong), SJ Belangel (Guinevere) and Haze (Atlas), respectively.

Toshi (Jawhead) tried to defend one last time but was overwhelmed by the five-man Team Joneeeel.

Tagala (Hilda) added four kills, four deaths, and 11 assists for Team Joneeeel while Heath chipped in four kills, four deaths, and 10 assists.

Meanwhile, Hadjizy spearheaded Team ONE BIG FIGHT with five kills, three deaths, and five assists. Belangel, on the other hand, was held to just three kills, three deaths, and nine assists.

In the other match, San Beda’s Kemark Cariño dominated in Game Two to lead Team White’s 2-0 sweep of Team Green in the all-amateur showcase.

The Gilas Pilipinas big man finished with 15 kills, two deaths, and eight assists playing Chou while Richard Solis contributed 12 kills and 17 deaths using Valir.

It was total dominance for Team White, finishing off the Green side in just 12 minutes and 40 seconds.

Johnvic De Guzman, Dave Ildefonso, and Tagala completed Team White while Team Green was bannered by Belangel, Emman Galman, Shaun Ildefonso, Chino Mosqueda, and Mark Alfafara.
