Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC were dealt an upset loss by Suwon KT, falling 83-85, in the 2022-23 KBL Season, Friday at Anyang Indoor Gymnasium.

Anyang was handed its ninth loss in 29 games but still remained on top of the standings. The Sonicboom, meanwhile, went up to 13-15 for seventh place — just half-a-game behind Goyang and Jeonju KCC.

Abando, who is still recovering from an ankle sprain, only played 10 minutes in the contest and netting three points and an assist.

Han Heewon led Suwon KT with 18 points on four treys while Yang Hongseok added 16 points on three triples.

Jarrod Jones and Ha Yoongi added 14 points apiece with the latter also grabbing 13 rebounds.

Dave Ildefonso was supposed to debut in the game but certain requirements from the Philippine government did not arrive in time.

Omari Spellman paced Anyang with 22 points and five rebounds. Byeon Junhyeong and Oh Sekeun got 15 and 13 points, respectively, with the latter also hauling down 15 boards.
