Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC stretched their winning streak to three in the 2022-23 KBL season after downing RJ Abarrientos and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, 77-68, Saturday at Ulsan Dongchun Gymnasium.
Anyang is now 2-1 against Ulsan in the season series, winning its first encounter last October 20 (93-84) before bowing 85-92 last November 16.
Abando only played eight minutes in the contest, tallying four points on 2-of-2 shooting with a rebound, an assist, and a block.
Omari Spellman led the way for KGC with 16 points and 17 rebounds, helping the league-leaders raise their slate to 19-8.
Moon Seonggon got 15 points on five treys while Byeon Junhyeong added 15 points, also on three triples.
Gaige Prim and RJ Abarrientos were the only double-digit scorers for the Phoebus, who fell to 15-11 — still third in the league.
Prim tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds while Abarrientos got 12 points and seven assists.
Over at Wonju Sports Complex, Alvano and DB defeated Jeonju KCC, 102-90.
Alvano was one of five double-digit scorers for the Promy with 19 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Dewan Hernandez led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds while Jung Hoyoung went 5-of-5 from the field and 5-of-5 from the stripe for 15 points.
Kim Jongkyu and Lennard Freeman added 15 and 12 points, respectively.
Wonju DB went up to 11-16 while dropping the Egis to 13-14.
Rondae Hollis Jefferson paced KCC Egis with 24 points and eight rebounds while Ricardo Ratliffe added 18 points and 12 boards.
Over at Goyang Gymnasium, SJ Belangel missed Daegu KOGAS’ 84-81 win over Goyang.
The Pegasus went up to 11-16 while the Carrot Jumpers’ slate is now at an even 13-13.
