KBL: Abarrientos, Hyundai get back at Belangel, KOGAS, advance to Cup semis


RJ Abarrientos and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis got back at SJ Belangel and Daegu KOGAS, taking a 92-83 victory to advance to the 2022 KBL Cup semifinals, Tuesday at Tongyeong Gymnasium.

Despite losing to the same team last Sunday — 87-80, the Phoebus gained a Final Four ticket by virtue of quotient.

Coming off a 17-point and 10-assist game last Sunday, Abarrientos followed it up with 15 points and six assists.

Supporting Lee was Senegalese import Youssou Ndoye, who had 22 points and six rebounds with two blocks.

Gaige Prim led Ulsan with 18 points and six rebounds while Lee Woosuk chipped in 14 points. Justin Knox also tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

On the other end, Belangel only got four points.

Youssou Ndoye led the way for KOGAS with 24 points and seven rebounds while Lee Wondae added 16 markers.
