RJ Abarrientos was off to a fiery start in his first-ever game in the Korean Basketball League regular season, helping Ulsan Hyundai Mobis take an 85-76 road win over Suwon KT on Saturday.
Abarrientos fired 13 points built on three treys to go with seven rebounds and seven assists as the KBL Cup second placers notched their first win of the season.
Gaige Prim also got 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Phoebus while Jang Jaeseok added 12 points.
EJ Anosike led the way for the Sonicboom with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rhenz Abando did not suit up for Anyang KGC during its 88-75 win over Seoul SK at Jamsil Arena.
Abando is suffering from a bruised hip he sustained in practice.
Omari Spellman powered Anyang to victory with 27 points and 14 rebounds while also getting ample support from Moon Seonggon (17 points), Oh Sekeun (17 points), and Bae Byungjun (13 points).
Jameel Warney paced the Knights with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
In the third game, Ethan Alvano and Wonju DB lost to Goyang Carrot, 80-87, at Goyang Gymnasium.
Alvano had a spectacular game with 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field with 10 assists.
However, the depth of Goyang proved to be too much for Wonju.
Jeon Seonghyen had 23 points for the Jumpers while Dedric Lawson tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds. Both Han Hobin and David Simon also pumped 15 points apiece.
Dewan Hernandez supported Alvano with 16 points and nine rebounds.
