Kai Sotto will sit out his third straight game for Adelaide in the 2021-22 National Basketball League-Australia season.
The 36ers announced that the 19-year-old Filipino is still being bothered by a bruised knee he sustained a couple of weeks ago, making him miss their game against Tasmania on Thursday night at MyState Bank Arena.
Also sitting out the game is Sunday Dech (quadricep).
With the two out, Adelaide has activated Zac Gattorna and Nick Marshall.
Making his return to the team is Emmanuel Malou.
The 36ers are currently 0-2 in the season as it suffered an 81-71 loss to Illawarra last Sunday.
Cam Bairstow was a bright spot for Adelaide in the loss, finishing with 15 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
Isaac Humphries got 13 points and four rebounds; Mitch McCarron produced another 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists; while Daniel Johnson had 12 points, four boards, and two assists.
Adelaide will face New Zealand on Sunday.
