Kai Sotto gets high school diploma from Miami School

Kai Sotto has finally finished his secondary schooling, receiving his diploma from Miami School in Hamilton, Ohio, Friday morning (Manila time).

Back in 2019, Sotto left Ateneo High School to pursue his dream of playing in the NBA. He was a third-year student back then.

Sotto led the Blue Eaglets to the UAAP Season 80 High School Boys title.

Though playing for The Skills Factory in 2019 and, later on, G League Ignite, the second generation cager still attended classes in Miami School.

After two years, the 18-year-old finally received his diploma.

Ervin, the father of Kai, shared the development over his Facebook account.

Sotto will still not be eligible to join a collegiate program in most parts of the world, though, as he is already a pro player.

Ignite players had the opportunity to pursue tertiary education. The minor league has partnered with Arizona State University.
