Kai Sotto, Carl Tamayo headline Batang Gilas pool for U-17 World Cup

With the biggest tournament in under-17 basketball just 22 days away, Batang Gilas has trimmed down its huge pool to the final 17.

In a report by Reuben Terrado of SPIN.ph, team manager Andrew Teh disclosed that all 12 players that finished fourth in the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Asia Cup will be retained.

These are Kai Sotto, Raven Cortez, Forthsky Padrigao, RC Calimag, Terrence Fortea, Joshua Lazaro, Geo Chiu, Yukien Andrada, Mac Guadana, Jerick Bautista, King Balaga, and Rafael Go.

Joining them are Carl Tamayo, Gerry Abadiano, Migs Pascual, Kean Baclaan, and Bismark Lina.

The core of this team took on the Gilas Cadets last Saturday at the Kerry Gym in Taguig City.

Batang Gilas is in Pool D of the tournament together with Croatia, France, and Argentina.
