JV Gallego out for San Beda after having knee surgery

San Beda University will not be having one of its lead guards for NCAA Season 98.

JV Gallego underwent knee surgery just recently, effectively ending his season.

The 5-foot-10 scoring guard played in the 2022 Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup and the inaugural Pinoyliga Cup.

However, a nagging knee injury bothered him after the tournaments. And once it was checked, San Beda’s medical team advised him to undergo a procedure.

Gallego averaged 4.27 points, 1.91 rebounds, and 1.55 assists in his first season with the Red Lions last season.

The 24-year-old will still have one more year of eligibility.

Also out for San Beda is Rhayann Amsali as he is taking a basketball sabbatical.Filoil-2022-DLSU-vs.-SBU-Evan-Nelle-James-Kwekuteye-0117 JV Gallego out for San Beda after having knee surgery Basketball NCAA News SBC - philippine sports news
