Both Justine Baltazar and Seoul Samsung are hoping that they get lucky this time around.
Baltazar has committed to play for the Thunders in the 2022-23 Korean Basketball League season.
According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, the 25-year-old native of Pampanga only signed on for the remainder of the season.
Baltazar previously played for Hiroshima in the B.League. He appeared in just eight games for totals of just two points, one rebound, one assist, and a steal in 13 minutes and 36 seconds.
However, Baltazar is pressed for time as he needs to arrive in Korea by February 2 – the last day KBL teams can bring in imports.
The 6-foot-9 De La Salle University product has also committed to playing for Strong Group in the 32nd Dubai International Basketball Tournament, which will be from January 29-February 5.
Seoul Samsung is also hoping that the third time is the charm.
The Thunders previously signed William Navarro but were not able to get him due to a contract dispute with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
They also got Christian David, but the Fil-Canadian never played a single game due to an injury.
Seoul Samsung is currently last in the 10-team league, holding a 10-18 record.
