June Mar Fajardo finally stepped onto a basketball court for the first time since suffering a gruesome leg injury last February.
The reigning, six-time PBA Most Valuable Player himself shared the huge step in his recovery through his YouTube channel AHOS Gaming Friday.
Fajardo put shots up in the Acropolis Gym together with San Miguel assistant coach Boycie Zamar and staffer Andrew Bulahan.
“After eight long months nakabalik na din sa court,” wrote Fajardo in the caption of his video that runs an hour and 10 minutes long.
Besides taking shots from his usual spots, the 6-foot-10 slotman also flexed his shooting prowess from beyond the arc.
“Slowly but surely lang,” the Cebuano star wrote.
“Salamat sa lahat ng mga prayers nyo at suporta, naappreciate ko kayo ng husto!”
Fajardo is now putting in the work as he treads the road to recovery while the rest of the Beermen are in Clark for the season resumption.
The storied franchise looks to extend its Philippine Cup dominion to six and earn its second Perpetual Trophy in the cage wars that resumes on Oct. 11.
SMB carries a 1-0 record heading into the tilt, with a 94-78 victory over Magnolia in the season opener last March 8.
