From slim to none at all.
Those were the chances of June Mar Fajardo playing in the PBA All-Star Weekend, as he hurt his ankle on San Miguel Beer’s Tuesday game against Barako Bull.
Fajardo barely played eight minutes in the Beermen’s 102-91 win, as he had a bad landing during first half of action. He never returned in the game, relieving his right foot in ice.
“Mahirap i-apak,” Fajardo told media after the game. “Depende sa MRI bukas kung makakasama ba ako sa All-Stars. Lalo na ngayon, mas importante yung mga games namin. Kailangan maka-recover agad ako.”
Should Fajardo be refrained to go to the All-Star Game, the South team might choose to play with only 11 players.
The 6-foot-10 Fajardo was voted to start in the South team and was expected to form the tallest frontline ever alongside the seven-foot Greg Slaughter, and the 6-foot-9 Asi Taulava.
Arwind Santos, who also hindered by a leg injury in the past two games, hopes for the speedy recovery of his teammate.
“Alam naman natin kung gaano siya ka-importante sa team sana mapabilis yung recovery niya,” added Santos.
