Jovelyn Gonzaga reunites with Rachel Daquis, comes back home to Cignal

Jovelyn Gonzaga’s return to Cignal was announced by the team on Wednesday.

Gonzaga’s last appearance in the Premier Volleyball League was in the 2022 Reinforced Conference, where her Philippine Army team went winless in eight matches.

The two-time Shakey’s V-League MVP made the decision to skip the Lady Troopers’ participation in the 2023 Open Conference to focus on her upcoming campaign in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games beach volleyball event.2022-Beach-Pro-Tour-Philippines-Gonzaga-x-Rondina Jovelyn Gonzaga reunites with Rachel Daquis, comes back home to Cignal News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

Before the pandemic, Gonzaga played for both the HD Spikers in the Philippine Super Liga and Army in the PVL. The HD Spikers recently finished in sixth place in the PVL All-Filipino Conference a few months ago.

In addition to Gonzaga, Cignal has also added former Ateneo standout Vanie Gandler to their pool of wing spikers, which already includes Daquis, Ces Molina, Jerrili Malabanan, Glaudine Troncoso, Chin Basas, and Graze Bombita.
