Owa Retamar was hailed as the UAAP Finals Most Valuable Player for the second straight season after leading National University to yet another championship.
The graduating playmaker tallied 26 excellent sets and three points as the Bulldogs completed the sweep of the UST Golden Spikers in the Finals, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 25-15 on Wednesday afternoon at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, with 17,093 fans in attendance.
First time namin makaranas ng ganitong karaming tao,” said Retamar.
In Game 1, the two-time Best Setter and now two-time Finals MVP delivered 24 excellent sets and five points.
NU blanked UST, with a score of 25-17, 26-24, 25-19.
