Jeron Teng follows dad Alvin’s footsteps, signs with San Miguel

A couple of days after tying the knot with long-time partner Jeanine Tsoi, Jeron Teng secured his future.

Teng has signed a two-year deal with San Miguel.

Teng’s agent Danny Espiritu confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

Now, Jeron follows the footsteps of his dad Alvin, who played for the Beermen from 1986-1994.

Teng and Converge parted ways last September 19 with the FiberXers sending him to free agency.

In five seasons played in the PBA, the bruising 6-foot-2 forward has averaged 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

The 29-year-old had his best season in terms of scoring a year ago, averaging 12.9 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 30 games played.

In San Miguel, he joins a star-studded cast that is headlined by June Mar Fajardo, Chris Ross, and Marcio Lassiter.

Also part of the Beermen rotation are CJ Perez, Terrence Romeo, Vic Manuel, Mo Tautuaa, Jericho Cruz, and Simon Enciso.

Completing the squad are Allyn Bulanadi, Noy Baclao, Rodney Brondial, import Tyler Stone, and Troy Mallillin.
