Jeffrey Cariaso and Blackwater have mutually decided to part ways on Friday.
Tiebreaker Times has learned from multiple sources closely monitoring the situation that Cariaso has resigned from his post as Bossing head coach.
The development comes after Blackwater suffered back-to-back lopsided defeats in the ongoing 2026 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
On March 31, the Bossing absorbed the worst blowout in league history, a 151-95 defeat at the hands of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Just eight days later, Blackwater fell to league newcomers Titan Ultra Giant Risers, 98-102, dropping the team to a 1-4 record.
In his three-year stint with Blackwater, Cariaso was unable to steer the Bossing to the playoffs, finishing with a 17-49 record.
His best performance came in the 2024 Governors’ Cup, where he led the team to a 5-5 finish.
Cariaso was appointed by Blackwater in 2023 after parting ways with Converge.
The rest of Blackwater’s coaching staff is expected to remain intact, according to Tiebreaker Times sources.
Blackwater is looking to appoint Patrick Aquino as interim head coach of the Bossing, one of the sources added.
The Bossings’ next game will be against the TNT Tropang 5G on Tuesday at Ynares Center – Antipolo.
