Gilas Pilipinas began their four-day, bubble training camp inside Inspire Sports Academy in Laguna on Saturday.
The team will be training at the state-of-the-art facility built by National University starting Saturday until June 20.
One of the players who arrived early was Jamie Malonzo of Ginebra.
Malonzo, who is still negotiating a contract extention with San Miguel Corporation, attended his first practice for the 2023 FIBA World Cup on Saturday.
He was joined by Gilas seniors June Mar Fajardo and Japeth Aguilar.
Completing the cast who arrived on Saturday were brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, CJ Perez, Scottie Thompson, AJ Edu, Angelo Kouame, Chris Newsome, JP Erram, and Rhenz Abando.
Expected to arrive on Sunday are the likes of Roger Pogoy, Bobby Ray Parks Jr, Calvin Oftana, and Dwight Ramos.
Justin Brownlee is set to arrive from the US in the next few days as well.
Kai Sotto, Jordan Heading, and Jordan Clarkson are still in the US.
The team will fly to Estonia on June 22 for a series of tuneup games.
