Jake Figueroa was formally crowned as the Most Valuable Player of the UAAP Season 82 High School Boys’ Basketball Tournament, Monday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The ceremony held behind closed doors happened prior to Game Two of the Finals pitting Nazareth School of National University and Far Eastern University-Diliman.

And the native of Pampanga is just glad to have showcased his talents during his rookie year with the Baby Falcons.

“Masaya lang ako kasi rookie pa lang ako, naipapakita ko na ang talento ko sa basketball,” the 17-year-old Figueroa said.
