Jacob Lao’s ChickyFam backs Pilipinas 3×3 reboot

Known for his unwavering support of Philippine sports, Strong Group Athletics President Jacob Lao added a new feather to his cap.

Lao officially launched ChickyFam, ang Manok ng Pamilyang Pilipino, with a grand opening celebration that saw 15 stores open across Cebu in just one week.

But more than just a business milestone, the launch doubled as a statement of his continued commitment to Philippine sports—especially with ChickyFam announced as the staunch backer of the revived Pilipinas 3×3 league.

Highlighting the festive atmosphere was a special appearance by Goyang Sono import Kevin Quiambao.

“This isn’t just about selling chicken. It’s about sharing joy, building family bonds, and creating a brand that feels like home,” said Lao.

Sports was never far from the spotlight during the event, with several nods to teamwork, resilience, and community spirit—values that Lao has long championed through his support of athletes and grassroots programs.

“Sobra ang pasasalamat namin sa mga Cebuano sa mainit na pagtanggap ninyo sa ChickyFam!” Lao said during the opening.

“I’m so happy we’re finally here, and I hope ChickyFam becomes a part of your families just like sports has always been part of my own.”
