Ivy Lacsina’s much-anticipated Nxled debut might have to be postponed.
Lacsina confirmed in an interview on Wednesday that she suffered a right knee sprain in training, which could sideline her until March.
The Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference is set to begin on February 20.
“Madaming nangyayari sa akin kasi nagka-injury ako sa tuhod pero getting better naman kasi tinututukan din ako ng Nxled nung mga PTs, and siyempre ako as a player kailangan ko rin mag-extra work,” said Lacsina following the Chameleons’ four-set win over Ateneo in the Akari Cup third-place match at the Adamson University gym.
“Humabol sa team pero at the same time si Coach Taka (Minowa) naman pinapapalo niya pa rin ako kahit standing lang, service, and passing. Hindi naman totally nahuhuli and kaya naman humabol.”
The 24-year-old versatile spiker sat out the team’s Akari Cup campaign. She then revealed that her recovery is trending in the right direction.
“Ano po timeline ko po is March pero depende po yun sa progress ko kung hanggang saan po siya kaya,” the second-year pro shared.
“Ngayon naman po medyo mas ok na po siya kaya confident kami na kaya humabol siguro hindi lang sa mga first few days pero at the same time yung mga susunod na game.”
Lacsina joined Nxled last December after F2 Logistics decided to disband their PVL roster.
