Iriga City overcame a 25-point deficit to beat Taguig, 93-91, last Saturday in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2 at the Philippine Christian University gym in DasmariƱas, Cavite.
Jester Olea drilled a triple with 15.7 seconds left after Terrence Tumalip pulled off a chasedown block for the game-winning plays and allowing the Oragons to grab a 92-91 lead.
Tumalip and Eric Bernales finished with 17 points each, and Olea had 13 points for Iriga City, which improved its record to 7-4 following the come-from-behind win in which the Oragons trailed 82-57 early in the fourth period.
The Generals slipped to second place with a 9-3 win-loss record.
Meanwhile, reigning champion ParaƱaque won its fourth straight game with a 74-67 win over CamSur last Sunday at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig City.
