Imus hands Das Esa-less Zamboanga 30-point rout


Imus won its second consecutive game after defeating Zamboanga, 92-62, on Sunday in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2 at the Imus Sports Complex.

Jepoy Sarao had 14 points and nine rebounds, while John Rafael Bautista had 13 points. Vincent Alves had 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocks for the Bandila, who followed up big on their victory over erstwhile unbeaten Iriga City last week in front of their home fans.

The Bandila now hold a 4-2 card, while dealing the Valientes their fourth consecutive loss to drop to 1-5.

Meanwhile, Vincent Gabriana had 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead Dasmariñas to a 79-71 win over Bulacan as the Ballers won their third straight match and improved their card to 3-2.

In Saturday’s matches at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga, the Pampanga Delta defeated the Quezon City Rising Stars, 83-60, behind the efforts of Harryson Bautista, who had 11 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

Richmond Sunga had 11 points, five assists, and four steals, as the Parañaque Aces snapped a two-game losing skid with an 82-56 win over the Pasig Rios.
