iACADEMY to host latest installment of Battle League

iACADEMY is set to host the latest installment of Battle League on May 4-5 at the iACADEMY Nexus Auditorium in Makati City.

Battle League is a 24-hour open-school VALORANT tournament that will feature 16 teams from various schools such as University of Sto. Tomas, La Salle Green Hills, and Lyceum of the Philippines University.

The winner of the tournament, which includes Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and League of Legends, will bag the grand prize of P25,000.

Serving as an advocate for esports and gaming for a long time now, iACADEMY believes that pushing for initiatives like the Battle League can serve as a platform for personal growth, where participants can challenge themselves, nurture their creativity, and develop leadership qualities that are applicable beyond gaming, in various aspects of life.

“At iACADEMY, we believe in the transformative power of gaming. Battle League is an opportunity for our students to shine, demonstrating their talent and passion in the digital realm,” said Clarence Gomez, Sr. Manager for Corporate Communications and Battle League Project Lead of iACADEMY

“It’s not just about the game; it’s about pushing boundaries, fostering creativity, and cultivating leadership skills that extend far beyond the screen,” he added.

Aside from that, Gomez said that the event aligns with iACADEMY’s broader goal of fostering well-rounded growth and embracing innovative approaches to education.

“Through Battle League, our students learn the importance of collaboration, strategy, and perseverance – traits that are essential not only in gaming but also in life and future careers. This event embodies our commitment to nurturing holistic development and embracing innovation.”
