Gilas Pilipinas will meet familiar foes in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
The Philippines, slotted in Pool A, has drawn Italy, along with the Dominican Republic and Angola, for the global event which takes place from August 25 to September 10.
The last time Gilas faced Gli Azzurri and Angola was back in the 2019 Worlds in China as the three composed Group D.
The Philippines was routed by Italy, 108-62.
Gilas also bowed to Angola, 84-81.
On the other hand, Gilas last faced the Dominican Republic during the Olympics Qualifying Tournament 2021-Belgrade, falling 67-94.
Karl Anthony Towns though could possibly play for DR this time around.
The Philippines will face the Dominican Republic first at the Philippine Arena on August 25.
They then take on Angola on August 27 and Italy on August 29 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
Meanwhile, Serbia is in Group B, alongside China, Puerto Rico, and South Sudan.
Pool A and B games will be played at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
