Teams have already made picks for special Gilas Draft

The special Gilas Draft set to be held on Sunday, October 30 at the Robinsons Place Malate in Manila City will be a mere formality, as the PBA club teams have already made their picks.

According to Mr. Musong Castillo of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, a meeting was held at the PBA Office in Libis, Quezon City, with all of the team governors present.

The Gilas cadet pool includes Mac Belo, Jio Jalalon, Mike Tolomia, Roger Pogoy, Russel Escoto, Carl Cruz, Ed Daquioag, Kevin Ferrer, Von Pessumal, Alfonso Gotladera, Matthew Wright, and Arnold Van Opstal.

The league did not release how the officials came into consensus.

Castillo added that Belo is a lock-in to join the Blackwater Elite, while the Phoenix Fuel Masters and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel have chosen Matthew Wright and Kevin Ferrer respectively.

The picks will be announced on Sunday in alphabetical order.
