Gilas 3×3 to begin training for OQT in Inspire but with a catch

The PBA and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas have reached an agreement for the FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament set next month.

League vice chairman Bobby Rosales said that the mother teams of players set to suit up for Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 have no issues with lending them.

Southeast Asian Games Games gold medalists CJ Perez and Mo Tautuaa and rookies Joshua Munzon and Alvin Pasaol will carry the flag in the anticipated meet.

Gilas, according to Rosales, will enter the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna for their bubble training.

But the teams also told the SBP that it should also allow these players to train with them once practices are allowed again in NCR. The province is under modified enhanced community quarantine until the end of April.

“That should not be a problem when the IATF allows practices. They will transfer the training to NCR so there should be no problem,” he said.
