Gabe Norwood back in the fold as Gilas tips off FIBA Asia, SEAG preps


The returning Gabe Norwood is spearheading the start of Gilas Pilipinas’ 12-day preparation for the FIBA Asia Cup and the SEA Games, both set next month, on a rainy Thursday night at the Upper Deck Gym in Pasig City.

Also in attendance are cadets Roger Pogoy, Jio Jalalon, Ed Daquioag, Kiefer Ravena, Almond Vosotros, Raymar Jose, Matthew Wright, Carl Cruz, Fonzo Gotladera, and Ray Parks, Jr., who are all fresh from their stint in the 39th William Jones Cup in Taiwan days ago.

Filipino-German Christian Standhardinger has yet to arrive as of publishing.
