Fran Yu is the biggest man this season, hailed as NCAA 95 Finals MVP

Fran Yu stood the tallest among the giants of the NCAA.
The 5-foot-10 floor general — who is Tondo, Manila born and bred — copped the Season 95 Finals Most Valuable Player plum.
The 21-year-old posted norms of 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 steals during Letran’s three-game conquest of San Beda that ended the Knights’ four-year title drought.
And it was an apt bounce-back game for Yu, who was the scapegoat of Letran’s Final Four heartbreak last season.
But for Yu, the championship was much sweeter than winning the Finals MVP plum.
“Masarap, pero mas masarap maging championship. Wala ‘yung individual award as long as makuha namin ‘yung malaking trophy. ‘Yun ‘yung pangarap naming lahat, tapos ako, hindi ko naman pinangarap yung individual award. Totoo! Ang pangarap ko maging champion ako at lahat kami magaangat ng trophy,” he said.
Besides this, Yu was also named as the Season’s Most Improved Player during the elimination round.
