Forthsky Padrigao to serve one-game suspension vs. UP

University of Santo Tomas senior Forthsky Padrigao will miss one game this weekend after receiving a suspension stemming from the UAAP Season 87 Collegiate Men’s Basketball Final Four clash against the University of the Philippines.

Padrigao will serve his one-game ban on Sunday, September 21, when the Growling Tigers face the Fighting Maroons at the UST Quadricentennial Arena.

The suspension is the result of two unsportsmanlike fouls that Padrigao committed during the Season 87 Final Four matchup on November 30, 2024.

He received a Category 1 unsportsmanlike foul at the 9:33 mark of the third quarter and another Category 1 UF at 3:24 of the fourth quarter.

Under UAAP rules, a combination of Category 1 and Category 2 unsportsmanlike fouls leads to an automatic ejection and a one-game suspension.

Despite the suspension, Padrigao remains eligible for individual awards in Season 88, as the infractions occurred in the previous season.

Last season, Padrigao was a key contributor for UST, averaging 8.67 points, 5.87 assists, 3.07 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.
